Welcome to the Big Five for Life step by step guide!
I put this together in response to Big Five for Life fans who have read my books and asked for additional assistance bringing their Big Five for Life adventures to life. The guide is arranged as a thirty day program. You will have the greatest success if you make the commitment to yourself to follow it as such, and dedicate just a little bit of time each day over the next thirty days.
If for any reason you are unable to do that, then complete the program as your time schedule allows.
Let me share with you a little of what to expect as you complete the program. The first group of steps are designed to help you figure out what your Big Five for Life are. Many people have shared with me that determining their Big Five for Life has been a struggle. And of course, it is very hard to start experiencing your Big Five for Life adventures if you don't know what your Big Five for Life are.
Therefore, the first group of steps are designed to help you with that.
The remaining steps will then help you bring your Big Five for Life into reality.
You’ll find the guide is easy to follow, and fun to do. Probably the best piece of advice I can give you is just follow the steps. Don’t get caught up in the process, or what will happen next, simply go through and let it evolve. Think of it like using a cell phone. When you want to make a call, you pick up your phone, you hit ten little buttons, and then you hit an eleventh button. Now after that, do you really know what happens? Can you describe the exact process of data packets being sent through routers and satellites and all the rest of what is going on in order for someone at another spot in the world to pick up their phone and have you on the other end? Probably not. But you still use your cell phone don’t you? Even though you don’t know exactly how all the processes fit together and function? Why? Well, because it works right? Same goes for this. Trust the process, follow the steps, and let it work for you. It will, I promise.

I recommend using a dedicated journal or notebook to capture your thoughts and do the exercises as you go through the course. That way you will have all your information in one place. If you don't have a journal or notebook, just staple about 20 pieces of paper together and use that. When you have completed each day, record your AHA! moments. Those are the major insights or learnings that you acquired. Record them by literally putting AHA- in your journal and then writing down whatever you learned.
You will be going back to your AHA’s and using that method of recording them makes it easy to find them again later.
